The Architect in All of Us

For Victor Vasarely, it was very important that art be accessible to everyone, whether through public sculptures or as decorations on buildings. With this goal in mind, he replicated his smaller works using various techniques, and the spatial ones were called multiples. On Saturday morning, 19 October, we will get to know one of these, titled ’KROA-MC’, and then, inspired by this remarkable 3D creation, we will embark on building ourselves!

If you are a builder, come and play with the museum’s enormous K’NEX set!
What is the largest object you can build and then make a copy of with your eyes closed? Ready for a challenge? Start slow and see how far you c
an go!

This program is accessible for visually impaired visitors.

A Day at the Beach with Vasarely

With the summer just behind us, we are curious what souvenirs you took home from your summer holiday. Share a memory of your summer with us on Saturday, 21 September. Afterwards, you will have a chance to recreate the sounds of waves with the museum’s instruments, help us make the next mini collage to decorate the art room, and find out what optical illusions are lurking on the pebbled beaches of an island off the northern coast France. Then use the museum’s textured materials to make your own picture of pebbles inspired by Vasarely’s summer trip to the island Belle Isle.
