Through Our Eyes

We are working on a very special project for the Autumn Festival of Museums. High school students have been asked to choose a selection of Victor Vasarely’s works and write text labels for museum visitors young and old. Be the first to read them!

This autumn, ninth graders from Veres Péter Secondary School in Békásmegyer are interpreting and writing text labels for works from the permanent collection at the Vasarely Museum Budapest. The museum has already successfully collaborated with these high school students during the “Maths on the Street” event this spring. They designed four large-scale works inspired by Vasarely for a pop-up exhibition at the museum. The students accepted an invitation to learn more about Vasarely, how things work behind the scenes at a museum, the collection and then share their ideas with other teenagers by writing labels for works of art. On Saturday, 9 November, you will have a chance to meet them, hear about how they chose the works to write about and read their thoughts.
