SATURDAY SLEUTH – Hidden in Plain Sight

Interactive family programme

08 May 2024, Saturday 10.30–12.00

Celebrate International Museum Day on Saturday, 18 May at the Vasarely Museum Budapest. This month’s Szombati szemezgető puts the largestwork in the collection in focus.
We will reveal how Vasarely planned such a monumental tapestry, who helped him make it and how the museum looks after this almost 4-metre-tall artwork.
Using one of the museum’s hands-on sets, you will see how easy it is
to portray three dimensions on a flat woven surface. If you love optical
illusions as much as Vasarely did, weave one of your own from paper
to take home.

English-speaking families are welcome.

Interactive, family-friendly, thought-provoking workshop!

Workshop for children 6–12 and accompanying adults.

Entrance:  The Szombati szemezgető (Saturday Sleuth) programme is held on the third Saturday when 6-26-year-olds and two adults accompanying children under 18 from the EEA may visit the museum for free.

Workshop for children 6–12 and accompanying adults.

Programme fee: 1,500 HUF/child
Please purchase a Szombati szemezgető programme ticket. Tickets are also sold online.
